Nikhil Rao

Nikhil Rao is an historian completing his doctorate at the University of Chicago Departments of History and South Asian Languages and Civilizations. He teaches in the Department of History at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, and lives between Boston, Bombay and Berlin. His research interests are in the social history of modern housing and land markets, cooperative housing societies and banks, and social and scientific institutions in twentieth century Bombay. In CRIT, he is involved in the Mumbai Housing Collaboration.
